The Avenue itself is a stunning location. Ethelburt Avenue is part of the Herbert Collins Conservation area and is a wide 'unadopted' gravel road lined with flowering cherry trees. Whilst close to the city, the atmosphere is more like a small village and children can play on the green outside the house in total safety because most traffic is 'local' and it's speed is kept down by the gravel surface of the road and speed bumps. There's also a tennis club (2 grass courts ) immediately opposite the house.
